Amy McCarthy

Amy McCarthy is a certified personal trainer & nutritionist, the Chicago native prides herself on putting together individualized programs that help clients reach their goals and feel good about themselves.

McCarthy received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she was a letter winner on the women’s basketball team.

McCarthy’s passion for fitness, and helping children, was the impetus behind the founding of Fit for Kids, an after-school program in St. Louis. The Fit for Kids program featured different sports activities, including soccer, basketball, floor hockey, volleyball and baseball, for grammar school children. She also regularly penned a column on health and fitness for St. Louis Sports Magazine. As she got her personal training career off the ground, McCarthy worked closely with a handful of major Hollywood talents. Amy is a firm believer that physical activity should be an essential part of every individual’s day, regardless of their age.

A.J. Walczak

A.J. Walczak is a certified personal trainer as well as a professional goalie coach in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). A.J. is also part of the Detroit Hockey Academy, a company co-owned and operated by Walczak and former NHL goaltender and Stanley Cup Champion Manny Legace. The Academy hosts 6th through 12th graders who tackle their academics on site but also train on and off the ice with coach Walczak and staff.

Walczak has successfully developed and worked with goaltenders of all ages, including Vezina Trophy winner Sergei Bobrovski (Columbus, NHL), Andrei Vasilevskiy (Tampa Bay, NHL), numerous Division 1 athletes, and many more.
